About Huron Machine

History of Innovation and Growth

For over 70 years Huron has been the leader in supplying Jaws & Chucks to the Workholding Industry. Founded in 1946 by Harold and Iva Lindemann in the basement of their Dearborn, Michigan home, the company initially focused on fixed-limit gage blanks for inspection and quality assurance in manufacturing.

Today, Huron offers single-source convenience for all workholding systems to more than 10,000 customers – from small manufacturers and machine shops to Fortune 500 companies. Key capabilities include 100% CAD/CAM design for custom applications and one-day turnaround on most standard jaw and chuck components.

The dedication to provide the best quality and service started with Harold (Bud) Lindemann, Founder, in 1946. That drive is still alive today which inspires and motivates Huron’s current employees. They know they must earn the right to be your Jaw and Chuck Company. That is why when you call 1-800-327-8186 you get the most knowledgeable Sales staff in the workholding industry supported by over 70 years of manufacturing, engineering, and service
